NARROW GAUGE

Though located adjacent to the standard gauge railroad on the western part of the layout it only interfaces with it in the yards at Hannibal and with a spur to New  Marion Station in Ford. It's function is to service the mining community of Kramer and its gold mines. It hauls goods to Kramer, provides passenger service and of course carries the fruits of the mines. The line is undergoing renovation with realignment and addition of new  track plus a new engine facility at Hannibal. Though it interfaces with the standard gauge railroad at Hannibal it operates as a separate entity. The conversion of the narrow gauge to DCC has added realism to its operation. The town of Kramer is located in the lower part of the map at left (in the loop) and the Bear Paw Gold Mine is directly adjacent.
